Yaesu FT-4XE – Professional Communication in a Pocket
The Yaesu FT-4XE is the ideal companion for anyone who needs a reliable and powerful radio that takes up minimal space. With 5W transmission power and legendary Yaesu quality, it sets the standard for portable dual-band radios.
Exceptional Battery Life: With up to 15 hours of battery life, you don't have to worry about running out of power in the middle of your session. The included fast charger also gets you back up and running in record time (3.5 hours).
Powerful Audio and Easy Operation
Despite its small size, the FT-4XE is equipped with a powerful 1W speaker. This makes it well suited for use in environments with a lot of background noise. The radio has two user-configurable buttons on the side, allowing you to customize it for your most frequently used functions without having to search through menus.
Advanced features for enthusiasts
The radio supports everything you expect from a modern handheld radio: CTCSS and DCS filtering for uninterrupted communication, VOX support (requires SSM-512B) for hands-free use, and a full 200 memory channels. It also has a built-in FM radio receiver, so you can listen to music or the news (88–108MHz) while on the go.

Yaesu is known for its robust build quality, and the FT-4XE is no exception. It’s compact, fits comfortably in your hand, and weighs just 250 grams. The package includes everything you need to get started: an antenna, powerful Li-Ion battery, belt clip, and complete rapid charging kit.
