Combines performance and ease of use
XP ORX is designed as a lighter and more user-friendly version of the flagship XP Deus. It delivers many of the same features at a lower price and is especially well suited for searching for coins, jewelry, collectibles, and natural gold in challenging terrain. With high sensitivity and lightning-fast signal processing, the ORX can find objects that many other metal detectors miss.
Frequency and search features
The included 22HF search coil (High Frequency, 22 cm) provides a wide frequency range from 13 to 81 kHz. This makes it highly effective at detecting small and thin metal objects such as old coins and gold nuggets, even in ferrous or mineralized soil.
Difference between the 22 cm and 28 cm search coils: A 22 cm search coil provides greater precision, better sensitivity for small objects, and easier handling in areas with a lot of iron and confined spaces.A 28 cm search coil covers larger areas and provides greater depth, but with somewhat lower accuracy on small targets. The 22HF is therefore a great all-round search coil, especially for coins, jewelry, and gold prospecting in challenging ground.
Programs for different needs
- Coin Fast: For coins and jewelry in iron-infested or littered ground
- Coin Deep: For cleaner ground with low mineralization and little trash
- Gold: High sensitivity for medium-sized and large gold nuggets
- Fine Gold: Optimized for small gold nuggets in mineralized areas
- 2 custom programs: Tailor the settings to your needs
Ultralight and ergonomic design
XP ORX is the world's lightest professional metal detector, weighing just 865 g.When the control unit is mounted on the hip pouch (optional accessory), the weight can be reduced to 770 g. The patented S-shaped telescopic stem provides excellent balance and comfort, allowing you to search for long periods without getting tired.
Wireless technology and accessories
ORX uses XP’s ultra-fast 2.4 GHz radio technology, which is up to 10 times faster than Bluetooth:contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}. This provides instant audio with no delay and low power consumption. The metal detector can connect wirelessly to:
- WS Audio wireless headphones (optional)
- XP MI-6 pinpointer with direct audio in the headphones
- Go Terrain app for Android/iPhone, which maps your trips and finds
