Remington Felt Cleaning Pellets - 4.5mm
Remington cleaning pellets are the easiest and most effective way to maintain the barrel of your air rifle or air pistol. These felt plugs are fired through the barrel like regular ammunition, cleaning the rifling of lead residue, dust, and grease in one simple motion.
Important tip from the store: If you use these in a powerful spring-powered air rifle or an air pistol with Gas Ram (such as f.eks. Remington Talon or ThunderJet), you should place a regular lead pellet behind the felt pellet. This provides the necessary resistance (backpressure) to prevent damage to the piston when firing.
Maintain Accuracy Without a Cleaning Rod
Over time, small amounts of lead from the pellets and oil from the mechanism can build up inside the barrel. This can lead to reduced accuracy and inconsistent shots. With Remington cleaning pellets, you don't need to disassemble your firearm or use cleaning rods that could potentially damage the delicate rifling inside the barrel. The felt pellets have a high density and compress into the rifling to effectively lift out dirt and remove grease from the barrel.
Regular use keeps the barrel in top condition, which is essential for consistent accuracy during target shooting.
Instructions and precautions:
- Single-shot airguns: Insert one cleaning pellet and shoot as normal. Repeat until the pellet that comes out is clean.
- Spring-piston/Gas Ram: Always load a lead pellet behind the felt pellet to protect the piston seal.
- Magazines: These are not recommended for use in airguns with multi-shot magazines.
- Suppressors: Should not be used in guns with fixed (non-removable) suppressors, as felt particles may get stuck in the suppressor.
