HB Calls Mouse Call (N°75) is a wooden and brass predator call that imitates the sound of a mouse, made by the French family business Hélen Baud in Carpentras. The call is used to lure foxes and other predators within shooting range.
Worth noting: Hélen Baud traces its roots back to 1868, when the Raymond workshop in Carpentras began producing predator calls. The Baud family took over in 1956 and today runs France’s only predator-call manufacturer of this scale, still based on traditional craftsmanship and still headquartered in Carpentras. The mouse call is turned from wood with a brass component, and is used by blowing through the call to create a squeaking sound reminiscent of a mouse.
The sound of small prey triggers the hunting instinct in predators such as foxes, and the mouse call is a classic and widely used aid for predator hunting. The call is compact and lightweight, and easily fits in a hunting bag or pocket.
