FX Binoculars - Element Optics MRAD Binoculars - Light in weight and compact binoculars for air weapons and sharp weapons
Small and light, but still as powerful and good as the 50mm versions from Element optics. The 4-16x44 scope is perfect for both short and long distances with a click turret that can be zeroed at a given distance and comes with a locking mechanism so you can easily turn the turret back to "0" to make adjustment even easier.
Excellent for FX airguns, but equally suitable for other pcp or Co2 guns or edged weapons.
Element Optics is the sister company of FX Airguns and supplies custom optics for airguns as well as edged weapons. Made by shooters, for shooters.
Here are some elements that make Element Optics a good choice when it comes to scopes:
Magnification, Coating, Parallax
A variable magnification that you can easily set from 4x all the way up to 16 times magnification. The 44mm lens is full-multicoat which, combined with the 30mm tube diameter, lets in plenty of light and provides a clear sight picture. The prallax can be adjusted from 15m onwards.
FFP edition (First Focal Plane)
The reticle is an FFP. That is, the reticle size remains unchanged even if you zoom in. When you zoom in, you will therefore zoom in on the reticle as well.
Zero-Stop
A stop mechanism for the click turret that makes it easy to "go back to start" after you've adjusted your sights for a longer shot.
Once you have zeroed the sight, also called "Zero", you can put on a locking ring that stops the turret exactly where you zeroed it, this allows ballistic calculators to be used to help set the sight.
APR "All-Purpose-Reticle"
A tailor-made reticle that covers most needs. The reticle was designed by a group of competition shooters, hunters and plinkers. The reticle should cover most needs without disturbing the sight image.
The famous "Christmas tree design" gives you the ability to quickly calculate wind and bullet-drop in relation to distance while the center point of the sight can be used to precisely set the sight to a given distance, you decide how you prefer to shoot and this sight gives you the opportunity!
The scope uses MRAD (Milliradians/MIL), the calculation of this looks like this: A MRAD is 1/1000 of a Radian / A MRAD = 10cm at 100m distance.
So, 1 MRAD extends 10cm at 100m and 100cm at 1000m. To make the adjustments precise, the HELIX sight is divided into 1/10MRAD adjustment, that means that 1-Click at 100m is 1cm. With each click on the turret, the reticle moves 1cm at 100m distance.
Combine the simple turret adjustment with the detailed reticle then you can calculate how many clicks you have to turn the sight.
The scope comes optically zeroed from the factory. You can read more about the reticle in the reticle manual here!
All in all, this is a scope that really delivers and it fits good for shooters who want to do the math but it also suits those who like to keep it simple. The "All Purpose" reticle is easy to use, but can also be used to calculate the shots, you decide for yourself!
