MP40 AEG Historical Replica – Full-metal World War II icon with classic brown Bakelite and wood imitation
Look no further for the ultimate centerpiece of historical airsoft games or your WW2 collection. The legendary German submachine gun MP40, affectionately referred to as the “Schmeisser” by Allied soldiers during World War II, has been recreated here in a stunning full-metal AEG version. This model stands out with its deep brown Bakelite and wood imitation on the handguard and grip panels, giving it an extra nostalgic and authentic look on the battlefield.
Historical insight: The MP40 revolutionized the world of firearms when it was introduced, becoming the very first military rifle in the world with a fully folding steel skeleton stock. The Wehrmacht required a compact, mechanical weapon for crews in armored vehicles and U-boats during the buildup to Blitzkrieg. What made it unique was the absence of traditional wood, replaced by the affordable and durable material Bakelite. It quickly became the first choice for all branches of the military due to its tremendous and easy-to-control firepower.
Heavy Metal Construction and Beautiful Balance
With a solid combat weight of around 3000 grams, this airsoft replica feels exactly like the real thing. The entire receiver, barrel, and folding stock are made of metal, while the frame underneath is crafted from durable, hardened ABS polymer with a realistic finish that imitates the brown wood and Bakelite of the era. The weight distribution between the pistol grip and the deep magazine well is perfectly balanced, ensuring a stable and ergonomic shooting position.
All the mechanical details are in place, including the characteristic support lug beneath the barrel. On the original, this soldier safely rested the submachine gun against the edge of vehicles and truck beds to stabilize shots while moving, without the recoil sending the muzzle back into the crew compartment.
Stable electric performance and quiet feeding
The rifle is powered by a reliable electric motor (Axe court/short shaft) and a sturdy metal gearbox. The system delivers an exact output of 1.0 Joule (around 330 FPS with a 0.20g BB), making it fully playable at absolutely all Norwegian airsoft fields, both indoors and outdoors. You can easily switch between Safe, Semi-automatic and wonderfully fully automatic (Full-auto) fire modes.
The included magazine is an authentic metal Low-Cap magazine with a capacity of 38 rounds. The advantage of this type of magazine is that the BBs are continuously fed via an internal mechanical spring. You completely avoid the conspicuous winding wheel at the bottom, and the magazine is completely silent with no rattling BBs when you run through the terrain.
Useful information about the MP40 Wood/Bakelite:
- Compact design: With the stock folded in, the rifle measures just 626 mm, making it extremely easy to handle in tight buildings. With the stock extended, it reaches 845 mm for stable shoulder shooting.
- Battery and charger: Battery and charger are not included in the box. We recommend using a slim stick battery (either 8.4V/9.6V NiMH or a compact 7.4V Li-Po) with a Mini Tamiya connector.
- Ammunition: Uses standard 6mm airsoft plastic BBs. We recommend a BB weight of 0.23g or 0.25g for the very best combination of muzzle velocity and accuracy.
