Strike Systems’ 7.4V 1300mAh LiPo is a compact and versatile airsoft battery that works well in many AEG setups. With a 25C discharge rating, it delivers consistent power and a stable rate of fire throughout its capacity, often providing noticeably quicker response than traditional NiMH batteries. The battery comes in a 2-stick configuration, making it easy to fit into tight battery compartments, including spaces where a “brick” style battery would be difficult.
T-plug (Deans) – more robust and more efficient power transfer
This model comes with a T-plug (often called Deans), which offers lower resistance than many standard connectors. In practice, this means more efficient power transfer, often faster trigger response, and a connector that feels more durable with frequent connecting and disconnecting. This is one of the reasons many people choose T-plugs when upgrading to newer setups.
Where is 7.4V best suited?
7.4V Li-Po (2S) is one of the most popular choices for AEG rifles when you want a clear upgrade from NiMH without stepping up to 11.1V. It’s especially well suited to standard setups where you want good response and reliability, with moderate strain on the mechanics and electronics. In short: a safe and effective “standard choice” for many AEG platforms.
Important: The weapon must have a T-plug, or you’ll need to use an adapter or replace the connector to make it fit.
Why choose Li-Po?
Li-Po batteries deliver plenty of performance in a compact format. You’ll often get more power and better use of available space than with NiMH, while also enjoying a more consistent rate of fire throughout the battery’s runtime. This makes it easier to maintain a tidy setup without long wires or external battery solutions, especially on carbine, PDW, and SMG rifles with limited battery space.
Important Li-Po reminders
- Do not completely drain the battery: Stop using the battery when you notice the rate of fire dropping.
- Always use a Li-Po charger with balancing: Li-Po batteries must be charged with a suitable balance charger (no exceptions).
- Charge before first use: New Li-Po batteries should always be fully charged with a balance charger before use.
