Airsoft battery safety guide

An airsoft battery needs to be handled with great care. That's why we've put together this guide so you know how to handle your battery.

  • Any disturbances in the structure of a battery can lead to damage and ignition.
  • Positive and negative poles should not be connected as it can cause permanent damage to the battery or lead to ignition.
  • A battery should neither be heated up nor exposed to low temperatures.
  • A battery must never be exposed to liquid.
  • A battery is prone to mechanical damage. The mechanical damage can cause permanent harm and result in it catching fire.
  • A battery should be charged according to the instructions provided with the battery. The red wire (+) should be connected to the red wire (positive port) on the charger. The black wire (-) should be connected to the black wire (negative port) on the charger.
  • Each battery cell can be charged up to a value of 3.7V. This value should not be exceeded. Other charger settings may cause irreversible damage to the battery.
  • Battery charging should be performed under constant supervision (even with high-quality batteries) on a non-flammable surface of non-conductive materials.
  • A battery should be charged with a charger that is suitable and compatible with batteries. Using an inappropriate charger can lead to permanent damage to the battery.
  • If you charge a battery to a value lower than 3V per cell, it can lead to damage.
  • If a battery is used incorrectly, it can be permanently damaged or catch fire.
  • If you get electrolyte from a battery in your eyes or on your skin, you should immediately rinse the contaminated area with water and contact a doctor immediately.
  • When a  battery is fully charged, it should be disconnected from the charger immediately.
  • If changes in the battery are detected (f.eks color, swelling, high temperature), the use of the  battery should be stopped.
  • A  battery should be used in such a way that no third parties have access to it.
  • Care must be taken when installing a  battery. Any short circuit can cause the battery to ignite and in extreme situations explode.
  • A battery that has been mechanically damaged, overcharged, or deeply discharged is considered unusable.
  • To keep a battery in good condition, it should be balanced during charging (a good charger has a built-in balancer).
  • It might be a good idea to acquire  a charger that has a  storage function which will either charge or discharge the battery until it reaches 3.7V per cell.

Neither the distributor nor the manufacturer takes any responsibility for possible damage as a result of incorrect use of a battery.
