Paracord, also known as 550 cord, is an extremely useful and versatile rope that can be used for a variety of purposes. It's made of nylon, making it very strong and therefore very popular among people who enjoy being outdoors and in survival situations (bushcrafting).
If you're going to sleep outdoors, you can use paracord to hang up a tarp to create a tent or shelter to protect you from the weather. Since the rope is so durable, you can also hang up a sleeping bag/hammock, ensuring that you can sleep safely and comfortably!
It's also a popular tool for fishing. You can easily make a fishing net by attaching a hook to the end. Alternatively, you can add a small weight to make it easier to cast. You can also add more hooks and weights to create a more advanced fishing net. Feel free to experiment with different knots to improve the fishing net's performance.
Paracord is also extremely useful in first aid situations. It can be used to make an improvised stretcher to carry someone who is injured or sick and as support for an injured arm or leg. You can also use it to carry heavy equipment or items, or as a support bandage.

Other things paracord can be used for include making extra handles on knives, keychains, dog collars or shoelaces, just to name a few. Here, it's really only your imagination that sets the limits!
