What do you need for air rifles and air pistols?

Laws and regulations
You must be over 18 years old to purchase and own air weapons in Norway. Air weapons must be transported in a bag or case, and it is not allowed to use them in public. Shooting should only take place in suitable areas, with permission from the landowner or police.
Ammunition and propulsion
- 4.5mm pellets are most common for air rifles – they offer high precision.
- BBs are mainly used in air pistols.
- CO2 cartridges or compressed air (PCP) are necessary for many modern weapons.
Proper protective gear
Always use safety glasses that meet the requirements (f.eks. ANSI Z87+/EN166). This also applies to spectators.Mesh masks and face protection are recommended for extra safety.
