What do you need for an air rifle and air pistol?

Laws and regulations
You must be over 18 to buy and own airguns in Norway. Airguns must be transported in a bag or case, and using them in public is not permitted. Shooting may only take place in a suitable area, with permission from the landowner or police.
Ammunition and power source
- 4.5mm pellets are the most common choice for air rifles – offering high precision.
- BBs are mainly used in air pistols.
- CO2 cartridges or compressed air (PCP) are required for many modern airguns.
The right protective equipment
Always wear protective glasses that meet the requirements (f.eks. ANSI Z87+/EN166). This also applies to spectators. Mesh masks and face protection are recommended for extra safety.
