Glock
The manufacturer Glock began the project in 1980 as part of a program to create a new service pistol for the Austrian army when the P38 was to be phased out. The Norwegian Defense Forces adopted the gun and still use it. Glock was one of the first to use solid polymer frames on pistols. Polymer withstands temperature differences and external damage more than steel frames do.
