The steel on the ax is of the black coated carbon steel type (which is easy to sharpen) and has a flat end piece so you can use a hammer on it to split wood!
The size of the ax makes it perfect to carry in your bag as it has a length of 36.5cm. The ax head is heavy and massive, which means that you get very good torque even though the ax is relatively small! A handy nylon sheath with belt attachment is also included!
